Artist's Biography PDF Print E-mail

Christine opening her first GalleryMy dream to be an artist started many years ago when I was a child, but I only had the courage 10 years past to full fill that dream. I spent many happy summers in the surrounding fields and rivers of Wiltshire.

I have travelled most of my life to some wonderful countries all of which made my desire to paint grow stronger.

My parents settled in Chichester back in the 70's and I settled here in the 80's with a family of three. The sea the sand and the wonderful countryside have inspired me to paint mainly landscapes and seascapes.

My brother tells me that the warmest painting I have ever created was one of Stonehenge a place where we grew up, a place with so much feeling loaded with fond memories" I am given to understand he has the painting
hanging proudly over the fireplace, a place for life.

I can say as an artist that my influence comes from my vision of all things beautiful, people, the sky, the sea and all creatures great and small. I hope drawing on this gives life to many of the pieces you will be viewing at this exhibition.

My paintings have homes as far off as Australia, America, Africa, New Zealand Canada and all over Europe and that makes me a proud artist.

Recently I have found that I have a talent for teaching. I have taught PHD and AB's alike children and adults. I enjoy passing on what I have learnt and I have had some rewarding pupils, pupils who have said they could not paint but who have produced wonderful paintings one of which is hanging in my house.

I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I did painting them.
